Distracted Driving One of the Main Causes of Risky Driving Behavior

The NSC states that speeding, distracted driving, and lack of seatbelt use all “play a major role in risky driving behavior”. The NSC’s preliminary estimates reveal that the motor vehicle fatality rate increased 20% in the first half of the year compared to the same period in 2019, despite less traffic as a result of quarantines and stay-at-home orders.
