When it comes to creating an automated enforcement program for our clients, engineering innovative traffic safety solutions is just a part of what we do here at Optotraffic. After the solution has been put in place, it’s our job to ensure that the entire traffic enforcement program runs proficiently, taking the burden off our clients and freeing up their jurisdictional resources.
In order to accomplish this, we offer a comprehensive suite of back office support services with all our solutions. One such service we wanted to spotlight is our Maryland Police Training Standard Commission (MPTSC) training. By partnering with Certified MPTSC Instructors, we work to ensure everyone involved is properly trained and certified to use the RADAR/LiDAR enforcement equipment and understand how the program is administered on the back end.
Officials from law enforcement, public works, or administrative staff are trained before the enforcement program begins and this training is continually refreshed throughout the life of the program, as needed.
An opportunity to implement this service came recently when, in partnership with our MPTSC Certified Instructors, we just trained 10 officers from the City of Seat Pleasant Police Department in the use of police RADAR/LiDAR, giving them the tools and knowledge they need to enforce a successful traffic safety program in their area.
Here at Optotraffic, we believe in creating a holistic approach to traffic enforcement. It’s not just about automating the process, it’s about a diverse approach to a jurisdiction’s public safety needs.
